Day 2 Prayer & Fasting Wisdom for the Next Stage
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” – James 1:5 (NKJV)
There are moments and seasons in life when we must ask God for wisdom. We see this truth reflected in the story of Joshua. Although Jericho had already been given to Israel, Joshua did not rely solely on his position as a general or leader. He sought wisdom and strategy from the Lord. At that critical moment, he encountered the Angel of the Lord, who gave him divine instructions for taking the city.
This shows us that even when the promise is ours, we still need wisdom to walk into it.
God gives wisdom generously, without finding fault. This means He doesn’t withhold it because of our past mistakes or weaknesses—He looks at plans He wants to fulfill through us.
As we continue in this season of prayer and fasting for the next three days, we are reminded of Psalm 127:1 – “Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.” We must ask the Lord: How do You want me to build? How should I complete the next phase of my life?
Today, our focus is on seeking wisdom and divine strategy for the next stage. The Holy Spirit—the Allos Parakletos (the One who is just like Jesus, our Helper and Advocate)—is here to guide us. He will speak to you, but the question is: Have you learned to recognize the voice of God for yourself?
It is important to discern how God speaks to you—whether through Scripture, dreams, visions, peace, promptings, or counsel.
So today, we pray and listen. We position ourselves to receive divine direction and clarity.
Prayer Points for Today:
Father, give me wisdom for the next stage of my life.
Lord, help me to hear Your voice clearly and distinctly in this season.
Holy Spirit, guide me with divine strategy to walk into every promise You have given me.
Remove every form of confusion, distraction, and delay from my path.
Let me build according to Your pattern, not my own understanding.
Manifest Your wisdom in my decisions, relationships, and assignments.
Open my spiritual ears to know how You speak to me personally.
Grant me grace to act on what You reveal, without fear or delay.
