LET US WATCH TOGETHER
Sometimes, Jesus would tell His disciples to go on, and He would go up the mountain to pray. Most of the time, He went alone. But there was one day when the pressure was so heavy that He knew if He went alone, He might not be able to push through and accomplish the task at hand (Matthew 26:36–37).
He went up the mountain with some disciples, hoping for encouragement—but sadly, they could not watch with Him for even an hour. He wanted somebody to stand with Him, but those He assumed had the capacity could not (Matthew 26:40).
There are moments in our lives when we feel the weight of what is about to happen. At that moment, Jesus felt the weight of the cross. He knew He was supposed to go to the cross, yet He wanted encouragement, He wanted strength, so He could soldier through (Luke 22:42–44).
Many of you listening today are at that place where you are thinking: “I need just three people to go up the mountain with me. I need just one person to go up the mountain with me. I know if I push just one more hour, if I push just one more moment in His presence, I’ll have my breakthrough.”
Sometimes, it’s just one more day in prayer, one more prayer marathon, one more fasting and prayer for your breakthrough. But when you sense that breakthrough is near, that is when the pressure is the greatest.
Today, as we fast and pray, we are not only asking each other: “Will you stand with me for one hour?” We are also going to pray prayers of agreement. You will find a brother, a sister, or a friend, and you will ask them: “Could you watch with me today?”
The prayer of agreement works this way. The Bible says:
“Whatsoever is bound on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever is loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)
Whatever we agree on here on earth becomes law in the Spirit. So meet with a friend and say: “Can we stand in agreement in prayer?” Even if it’s just for 15 minutes, stand in agreement. Begin to release words together in prayer. Name the things you are agreeing on: “Let’s agree in prayer for… let’s agree in prayer for…” And as you pray together, you will push for your breakthrough.
We are also going to challenge each other to believe God for one another. If you receive an instruction for someone, obey it. Jesus wanted somebody to watch with Him, but those He called could not. That does not mean your reliance is on them—it is on the Spirit, who will give them words that bring you victory (John 14:26).
So today, we are going to watch together. Today’s prayer and fasting is about watching together. And as we watch together, the Lord will come through for each and every one of us (Matthew 18:20).
Some of you may need to come together and give an offering. This offering will represent you, your situation, and your faith. Give it to our ministry as well, saying: “As a family, this will be our seed for 2026. As a couple, this will be our seed. As friends, this will be our seed. As a group, this will be our seed.” And then pray in agreement (2 Corinthians 9:6–7).
This is the season where we watch together to see the manifestation of God in every life.
Let us watch together. God bless you.
Prayer Points: Stand in Agreement
Prayer of Grace for Strength and Breakthrough
“Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your presence and Your power. We lift our hearts together, asking for grace to endure, strength to persist, and breakthrough in every area of our lives. Let Your Spirit guide us as we pray, watch, and stand together. Amen.”
Prayer for Unity in Prayer
“Lord, we come into agreement in prayer. May our words align with Your will. May every seed of faith we release bring harvest in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Give us eyes to see, hearts to believe, and hands to serve. Amen.”
Prayer for Spiritual Breakthrough
“Father, we declare that every cycle of delay, oppression, and stagnation is broken in our lives. We release Your power to manifest breakthrough, open doors, and increase in every area where we have stood together in prayer. Amen.”
Prayer for Seed and Faithful Giving
“Lord, as we bring our offerings, let them represent our faith, our trust, and our commitment to Your Kingdom. May these seeds bear fruit, strengthen our spiritual journey, and bring glory to Your Name in 2026. Amen.”
