Creation Is Crying: Why Money, Markets, and Nations Await the Sons of God

By Apostle Humphrey

The Bible makes a profound declaration in Romans 8:19: “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Creation is not silent—it is groaning, waiting for those appointed by God to arise and take their rightful place. But what exactly is creation? Is it limited to trees and animals, or is it broader?

In this generation, we must understand that money itself is part of creation—and yes, money groans too. The Bible says in Matthew 6:24, “You cannot serve both God and mammon,” revealing that money is under spiritual influence. Mammon is not just a concept; it is a principality—a spirit that governs economic systems. If money is influenced by a spirit, then it has a voice. And if it has a voice, then it cries out to be liberated from unrighteous use.

Money is not just paper or coin—it is a currency of trade, a mechanism of exchange that has taken many forms throughout history: silver, gold, salt, cattle, digital assets, and more. The nature of money evolves with time, but the principle remains—it is a created tool meant to serve the purposes of God when governed by righteous stewards.

Yet, just like the rest of creation, money is in bondage. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” This groaning includes businesses, industries, systems, and even innovations that have yet to be birthed. They cry out for the emergence of kingdom sons—mature believers who understand their authority and assignment.

The tragedy is that those who are meant to bring deliverance are often themselves in bondage. Galatians 4:1 explains, “The heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all.” So long as the sons of God remain immature, creation continues to suffer. There are believers called to finance nations, birth industries, and disrupt systems with innovation, but they have yet to rise. They are heirs—yet still children in spirit.

This is the paradox of a deliverer who is still a slave. Like Samson, who was raised to deliver Israel but at one point found himself bound by the very enemy he was called to defeat (Judges 16), many sons of God are in bondage—emotionally, spiritually, or mentally—unable to fulfill their kingdom mandates. The cry of creation goes unanswered not because God hasn’t appointed deliverers, but because those deliverers have not matured or stood up.

We saw this dynamic in the life of Elijah. In 1 Kings 19:15–16, God instructed him to anoint Hazael as king over Syria, Jehu as king over Israel, and Elisha as prophet in his place. Yet Elijah only anointed Elisha. The others had to wait, and so did their nations. What happens when a prophet delays obedience? Entire destinies are deferred. Could it be that there are leaders, inventors, CEOs, and reformers who are still dormant—waiting for you to take your place?

Businesses are crying to be born. Markets are crying to be redeemed. Systems are crying to be transformed. But they remain in bondage because the sons of God—those with divine blueprints and kingdom authority—are not yet manifest. These sons are not just spiritual leaders; they are men and women called into politics, economics, education, technology, and the arts. Their presence brings alignment to creation.

My prayer is simple: that you will rise. That you will no longer remain as a child in spirit, but grow into the maturity required for rulership. That you will not delay like Elijah, nor fall like Samson, but that you will walk in wisdom like Joseph, in boldness like Esther, and in authority like Jesus, the firstborn among many sons.

Creation is crying. Money is crying. Nations are crying. And they are waiting for you.

God Bless You
