2026: The Year of El Qanna — When God Becomes Our Divine Backing

As I was preparing for the year, about two months before the end of the year, the Lord began to speak to me about the increase and the expansion that we would experience in the coming year. Strangely, He confirmed this word by allowing me to encounter a man who spoke about keys to breakthrough. This alignment reminded me that “surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants” (Amos 3:7).

The keys he shared immediately resonated with what God had already been saying. He emphasized that the first key to breakthrough is tangibility—understanding the tangible presence and manifestation of God’s grace. When God moves, what He does cannot be hidden. You cannot hide what God is doing in a place or in an individual. You cannot hide success. You cannot hide influence. You cannot hide wealth. You cannot hide what God is backing, for “a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).

He then spoke about expansion. As he explained it, he addressed how many people focus on past success and assume that is the limit of what God can do. In doing so, they become blind to the dreams God has for their future. Yet there are things God wants to do in our lives in 2026 that He has never done before—things beyond our level, beyond our strength, beyond our ability, beyond our contacts, beyond our nation, and beyond our nationality. God intends to take us beyond what we could ever achieve by our own effort, for He is “able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20).

What stood out to me was that this message came in the same week that God had given us the prayer theme of increase and expansion. During that week, the Lord spoke clearly to me and said, “I want to repeat what I am saying to you today next year. I want to increase you, and I want to expand you.” Hearing these confirmations pushed me to recognize that God was intentionally drawing our attention to what He was about to do, because “the dream was repeated… because the thing is established by God” (Genesis 41:32).

The next key that was mentioned was divine backing. Initially, when I heard the phrase “divine backing,” my natural thought was to connect it to an individual—a man of God who would become the backing we needed for the year or for the season we were entering. But as I continued to meditate, God began to teach me that divine backing is not based on an individual, because “it is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man” (Psalm 118:8).

As I reflected more on the year ahead, I realized that divine backing is not simply declaring that this year will be our year of increase and expansion. Rather, it is declaring that this year will be the year of God. It is God Himself who causes us to prosper, and it is His backing that sustains increase. That realization shifted my focus. Instead of focusing on the year, I understood that the key was to focus on God.

This led me to ask deeper questions: Who is this God? How do I truly know Him? This journey of reflection was part of understanding what God is about to do in 2026. Then I remembered a moment when God had introduced Himself to me in a very personal way—during a season when everything else was not working. The Lord said to me, “Do you know that I am the jealous God who watches over you?” For “the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Exodus 34:14).

At that time, I had not known Him in that way. He revealed Himself to me as El Qanna—the Jealous God. In that year, I witnessed His grace in my life and His favor in undeniable ways.

As I continued to meditate on the teaching and on the year ahead, I realized that God must be El Qanna to us this year. The Jealous God will be our backing. The Jealous God will say, “I want to cause these ones to grow into what I have called them to be.” El Qanna watches over His covenant. He watches over His word.

This year, therefore, shall be the Year of El Qanna—the year of the Jealous God. We ask for His mercy to watch over us in everything that we do, and we trust His oversight in every area of our lives.

If you are part of this ministry and you have been learning and growing through it, I invite you to trust God for this year. Give Him your attention. Give Him your focus. As you do, you will see El Qanna at work in your life, in your destiny, and in everything that concerns you.

This shall be the year of our God—the Jealous God.
God bless you.
